U.S. Meeting of RIAS Fellows2008

About 100 alumni, station hosts and representatives of U.S. partner universities attended the RIAS reception at the Hilton Hotel on April 12 and the breakfast next morning.
Dr. Helena Kane Finn, chairwoman of the RIAS BERLIN COMMISSION, welcomed RIAS fellows and guests. RIAS jury member Claus Detjen then presented the 2008 TV award winners. Deborah Block (VOA) and Miguel Marquez (ABC news LA) talked about their assigments in Iraq.

Levin, media consultant for the Senate Democratic Caucus, California Legislature, Sacramento. RTNDA President Barbara Cochran stressed the successful cooperation between RTNDA and RIAS and the importance of the Rias Germany and Europe program for US journalists in a meeting with Claus Detjen.
